' LET ME PAINT MYSELF'
In a society forming who I am. I choose to paint myself for myself in the only way I want to be. This self-portrait takes back the power of my own identity - putting it all in my own hands. Life has gifted me with blessings and burdens, in this portrait I chose to be naked. My body has been something I have always had to fight for. I have been sexualised, abused and told what to be and do. I recently reached a turning point in my life and refused to give power to any more people over something they had no right to control. My sexuality and feminity flow through me freely and is something to celebrate. No one can ever tell me who I am and how I must use my body, for I paint myself for myself.
F#ck anyone who tries to take my power - I can and will only ever be my own, constricted by no one but the endless power of my soul.
